Tarte Aux Fraises (Strawberry Tarts)

French desserts have only a couple of pastry base recipes which are only slightly modified for each specific treat. For this tart we use a Sugar Crust (pg 633/634) of Mastering the Art of French Cooking.

Artichauts avec Buerre au Citron

This recipe is from  Mastering the Art of French Cooking, p. 425. (The sauce can be found on p. 98.)

Ingredients:
fresh artichokes (look for bright uniform green coloring and tight leaves)
1 lemon
1 stick butter
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
