There are some parts of life that we tend to let slide when life gets in the way. Work, kids, relationships, and all the exhaustion and stress that go with them can zap our sex drive and leave us with little or no relationship with ourselves. It doesn’t have to be that way, and whether we have a partner or not we still need a loving and fun relationship with our bodies and some pleasure in our lives. One way to treat ourselves to some well-deserved satisfaction is with one or more of the various sex toys that are available now in stores and online.
The beauty of sex toys is that they can add variety and fun to our own private sex life or spice up sex with a partner, and even if our partner feels a bit threatened at the thought of adding a new element to the mix we can usually demonstrate how sex toys can add to the fun instead of replacing the intimacy only she or he can provide. Since there are many types of toys and new styles have been added in recent years I think this is a great time to share some interesting ideas with everyone who works hard and deserves some pleasure in her life. Since that includes all of us let’s take a look at what’s out there.
The sheer number of websites that sell toys politely labeled “massagers” and openly labeled sex toys are staggering, so we will just go over the basics. First we have clitoral stimulators that are ideal for masturbation by ourselves or a partner, and that range from those shaped like produce (which make me personally laugh more than get turned on), to those that are more girly-themed or classically styled such as this one . For more “realistic” looks and for penetration with out vibration there are many styles available as well, and also G-spot stimulators for those who find they enjoy stimulation in this area attributed to awesome orgasms in many women. One popular toy is known as the Rabbit and is a combination of clitoral and vaginal (and anal with proper attachment) stimulation, and this is a toy that lives up to its reputation in my opinion.
For the man who wants to get in on the fun there is an assortment of toys available for him, and some women find that he may be more receptive to her sex toys if he has his own as well. Since there are many women who want sex toy fun with their female partner there are also toys designed for the lesbian couple. Of course there are also toys for more specific needs such as pussy pumps and toys for anal stimulation, but I personally think a basic toy for all women would be a small, discreet, always available toy for personal pleasure such as one or more of these. I could go on for pages listing the almost endless ways people have found to help them achieve orgasm or just feel great along the way, but you get the point. There is something out for everyone, whether timid and private or randy and ready to go!
We can find many versions of many types of sex toys online or if you are lucky, in a local store, and I hope that anyone reading this who hasn’t ever considered buying a toy will at least take a minute to consider it. If you don’t even want to consider one then at least consider why so many people do use them. We as women all work hard and take care of everyone else in our lives, but too many times we neglect ourselves. What better way to nurture ourselves and have some amazingly pleasurable experiences than to take time to either find a toy that is for us alone or to share with our partner if we wish? What better way to relax and feel appreciated than to give ourselves something that celebrates our femininity and gives us another opportunity to take care of ourselves and celebrate our sexuality? We are woman…hear us moan! Okay, maybe we don’t want everyone to hear us moan, but don’t leave the moaning out of your life. It is good for your physical and emotional health and worth the effort, so let’s make March the month we take our pleasure into our own hands. Enjoy!!!
