The remains of the pop tarts and twinkies are slowly fading to fond memories. Midnight Dancer and family have safely returned to their home in the distant North, and the rest of the VA/PA crew have already washed their cars and picked the bugs from their teeth.

The first annual HippyMom Fall Family Festival was a tremendous success. Located at a Kampground in WV, six HippyMom families converged for about 48 hours of cooking, karaoke, jumping and late-night “real life” chat.

Did it rain? Yes. No, it was just humid. Did that stop them from dancing around the fire? Hell no. Did Tarty eat a marshmallow? Yes, yes, she did. Because she was Kamping. The SEEKs saved the day with their glorious tent thing, keeping the humidity at bay. The Dancers provided gravel toys, the Scarlets brought devil forks and Tarty and NefertIggy discovered that together, they are a great set of parents, mostly because they didn’t lose any of their six kids the entire weekend.

Next year, weather permitting, there will be golfKart races, formalwear badminton, potato sack races and at least one more night of frolicky fun. Mark your calendars now!
